I don’t know who this person is or how credible the list is, but I just came across this list of schools that average multiple LSAT scores versus schools that take the highest of multiple LSAT scores.

  1. I don’t think Georgetown or Berkeley averages. Otherwise I would not have been accepted to either of them… my LSAT average would be waaaaaaaaaay below their 25% marks. On Harvard’s webpage they say they average but also consider the highest score.

  2. Thank you for providing link to my post “LSAT Scoring Policies of Law Schools”. I have updated the details with links. Have a look.

  3. Do you think a written explanation is necessary, or will help sway the averaging schools in my situation. 157 score then 166, I don’t have any crazy reason except that 1st time around was a week or so after graduation and guess I was in a weird mental space dealign with finals, graduating and moving cross-country.

    Thank you for your advice.

  4. tcat, I would provide a brief factual explanation about the timing of the exam even for schools that take the highest score because it’s a significant increase.
    Good luck!
